buzy bee!
i haven’t blogged in so long i’ve almost forgotten how! took me a coulpa extra seconds to remember my password, but now that i’m IN it’s just like riding a bike!
people ask me all the time what i do all day and i never really know how to respond. i usually say something like: i don’t know, but the time flies and by the end of the day i’m exhausted! the last few months are no exception!
seems like just yesterday i was packing for PR! boy, am i ever thankful for that week of R&R!
here’s a smattering of what i’ve been up to since my last post…..
first up was a very important high school graduation which required a road trip to midland! my brother’s youngest…
what a joy it has been to watch Sam grow up! i know God has big plans in store for him and i’m anxious to see them unfold! he is truly a fine young man with a kind heart, a gentle spirit and a dry wit (just like his Pa) that will keep you in stitches!
one graduation this year was not enough for this clan so a few weeks later and another road trip, this time to lubbock, to watch my sister’s youngest graduate from college…
is it possible to have more than one fine young man in the fam? it is! i like to think of Ryan as a bit of a free spirit. i think God will take him on great adventures to the corners of the world! he has a giving heart and he will always find a way to help others.
do i have to tell ya? i am one proud aunt!
i am pretty much on auto pilot these days heading to Dallas to tweak my space at Curiosities. i love my time there, short as it may be, challenging my creativity! there’s a moment of panic when i turn the corner into my space and then a big sigh as i dig in and something happy happens!
in between, i spent tons of time getting ready to setup at Dallas Market Center (DMC). you may remember i was there a year ago and it wasn’t the best experience, but i moved locations within Market (to Cash & Carry) and held my breath for a better experience!
i so applaud DMC’s desire to recreate “Round Top” at Market. taking something “new” in a vintage sorta way to their shoppers. i headed for big D with in my sis-in-law in tow…i can’t even begin to tell you how thankful i was for her help…and we opened June 21 for a five day show!
oh and i setup next to my super sweet and incredibly talented friend Stephanie…bonus!
the verdict: i’ll be there in January!
a few pics from my space…
last, but never least…SweetTalk!
there’s a new man in my life…he’s bigger and badder…and allowing me to buy JUNK a bit differently which i’m excited about! his name is “Tank”…but…SHHH…i haven’t told Mighty…
i spend spare moments making jewelry…i don’t even care if anyone likes it or gets it! i get great satisfaction from exploring the let-me-see-what-i-can-hang-around-my-neck side of my imagination!
these i made using cuckoo clock doors!
now that i’ve written this post it doesn’t seem like all that much..so why am i so tired?! but…there are big changes on the horizon…including a possible (emphasis on “possible”) whole house remodel…for which i’m terrified and a wee bit excited! there will also be changes to my show schedule so stay tuned. and a possible move in to another Dallas antique mall…i mean, why not? i’m there!
i’d like to tell you i’m back-in-the-saddle on this blogging thing, but ya just never know with me! i hope that all is well in your world and that you are having a super duper summer!

Ahh! I meant “you’re” – don’t let my students know I wrote it wrong – I harp on them for that all the time!
