I have an idea! Last post I showed you my brand-spanking-new bulletion board! Lover of words that I am…I thought it would be fun to track my year according to the words that define me! I may add a memory or two or an inspiration along the way. There are no rules!

I’m starting with my name! You know, claiming my turf! I’ve always loved my name in, what I call, “lights”! When I moved out on my own for the very first time, I could hardly wait for the new phone book to arrive! There it was, my name in black and white! In a silly kinda way it marked independence for me. And from that point forward seeing my name in “lights” always reminds me that we all get a life and we get to do whatever we want with it! How great is that?

Next I’m adding “pink”! It’s one of my two favorite colors! I Googled pink and found the following: provides feelings of caring, tenderness, self-worth, love and acceptance. Couldn’t have said it better myself! I want to be reminded of the meaning of “pink” every day!

I can’t start without including “remember”. I lost a sweet friend over the holidays. Even though she was far too young to leave this earth, I know exactly why God wanted her in heaven. I do not believe that anyone comes into my life by accident. I am fortunate to know exactly why God allowed this person to cross my path and I will be forever thankful.

My last word for today is “queen”! Duh! If you are on Facebook then you have seen my profile picture, me in a crown (kinda)! With God on my side all things are possible! There is much I want to accomplish this year and “queen” will remind me that, although I may be terrified on the inside, I am “queen” of my life and perfectly capable!
