is there anything sweeter….
than a sweet friend? I, for one, am convinced there’s not!
So when my extra-sweet friend, Tricia, called last week to say she was mailing me a package I knew two things immediately…..
one: it would be *beyond*
and
two: it would make me cry!
When I arrived home Friday afternoon from HEAP, I could see the box sitting at the front door as I drove in the driveway! I couldn’t get out of the car fast enough!
I tore into it and this is what I found…..
which, once opened, revealed this….uh-oh….toldya….i started crying immediately…..
next, i came to this…..
inside was a very dear card, signed like this…..
after that, i found this….
just a warning….you might want to do a little *prep* yourself cuz the *big doozie* is a doozie alright…..
if you didn’t take my advice…..do. it. now.
It’s a hand-cut silhouette of Sister! Have you ever seen anything more precious? I didn’t just cry, I cried like a baby…..
Tricia kept close tabs on Sister while she was sick. Sadie Girl is Tricia’s cherished thirteen year old Schnauzer and…you know, she knows. It takes an animal lover to put-up-with an animal loving ~basketcase~ and Tricia listened patiently as I chronicled Sister’s last days.
What is a true friend? For me, it’s someone who can understand my words…..whether I’m laughing…..crying…..or saying nothing at all…..
Thank you, Tricia, from the bottom of my heart…..buckets of love!
