can you anticipate something for 8ish years?  meg and i did!  i took my other niece, marcie, to NYC in 2003 for her high school graduation.  not long after that meg sized me up asking if i would be doing the same for her.  of course! 

at the time she had not been to NYC but by the time her senior year rolled around she’d been twice.  about a year ago i called her and mentioned that she might think about going some place she’d never been.  she said she’d have to think about it!  a few weeks later she called me and said “san francisco”! 

shucks! 

i’ve been to san francisco a handful of times but we usually tack a day or two onto another CA trip.  i’ve seen bits and pieces but i was looking forward to full blown tourist mode!

we did it, we saw it, we biked it ~ walked it ~ cable car-ed it!  i don’t think we’d ever have to go back…but we would…in a heartbeat!
