Words. They are powerful little things. They can make you laugh with abandon, weep with joy or smile with contentment. Some words sound funny - like clinkety-clank. Other words just look funny - like giggle. And still other words can make your heart ache with yearning - like dream.

SweetTalk “Pal”

I’m sitting here thinking about all the amazing people who are enthusiastic supporters of SweetTalk! And I thought it would be fun to come up with a word, you know since I have this thing for words, to call SweetTalk supporters!

I thought about “fan” but it just didn’t seem quite right. Feels like it goes better with a contact sport! “Connoisseur” came to mind, although a great word, it’s pretty fancy and I wasn’t sure I could spell it right every time! How ’bout “groupie” it’s pretty fun. But when I looked it up in the dictionary it talked about young girls, rock stars and a few, shall we say, adult activities!

“Friend” is truly one of my favorite words, maybe a version of that would be good. There is always “supporters” after all I used it twice in the first two sentences! I don’t know, it seems a little stiff. “Clique” but I wasn’t very good at those in my younger days!

Then I remembered my best friend from high school, Sharon. We called each other “pal”! That’s IT! I looked it up, just in case! Definition: a friend, a chum. What’s more perfect than that!

And, oh my gosh, how cute is the word “chum”! That will soon be added to the ever-growing SweetTalk list of words!

Whew! Now that I’ve settled that dilemma! A SweetTalk Pal sent me an email the other day and I just have to share the picture he included.

His SweetTalk order in his mailbox! He ordered some terrific words, his name, his kids names and, of course, his dogs name and he also ordered the word “courage”. Now that’s a great word!

I know you’re probably wondering where the pic of the tag is with “pal” but, seriously, I just thought of it! It will be included in my next print order so check back soon!
