You know, when I can’t come up with something RED for RED Friday I just march-to-the-beat-of-my-own-drum and today…orange…will have to do!

When I was just a tot we moved from Austin to Ft. Worth for a few years.  My Pop worked for Allied Van Lines and we had one of these amongst our toys…

We would sit on the back and scoot around!

It may not be RED, but it is Friday and it’s ORANGE that brings back a happy memory from my childhood!

I love these RED Friday posts!  Sometimes I’m in panic mode because RED just wasn’t on my radar until Tricia started this, but now I’m definitely seeing RED!

I had these little kid scissors for sale in my space at Marburger last week.  They are really adorable all stacked up in an Ironstone gravy boat!  I sold one to a sweet lady who spent 15 minutes (not kidding!) agonizing and searching for the perfect pair! 

Personally, I don’t shop that way, but more power to her!

I think I have finally come down from the high of shopping for double-digit days!  Not sayin’ I like it, just sayin’!

I am, however, buried alive in the bottomless-pit-of-pricing! 

I don’t care what anybody says…this is the fun part…right.

In very disturbing news…I immediately rushed cookie-cat to the
Vet thinking she was coming down with a cold…yes it’s possible…only to discover that every time she lays on the fabulous, vintage pinky-peachy motel blanket (in the middle of the abyss) she sneezes her little furry head off!

How in the world did I end up with a cat that’s allergic to JUNK?  thud.

it’s not Friday! 

I have no clue what happened to the last week!  It wasn’t exceptionally busy, I wasn’t traveling…..I just gave up!  No subject was hitting me, time got away and here it is (almost) Friday again!  que sera sera!

Do you suppose they fit into my favorite category…..not-the-size-it’s-suppose-to-be?  Quite possibly!

First, there was rearranging to do.  And like I don’t have an ounce of common sense, the need to move furniture struck me as I was getting ready for the pool party a few weeks ago.  ugh.  Sometimes I worry about myself……….and with good reason!

Well, I moved it out of the entry.

Remember this table?  (More *questionable timing*!)

I moved it where the churh pew was.  Which is the place I enjoy it most…..it’s still a work in progress!  I added the *please seat yourself* sign so when our guests entered the front door there would be no confusion!  The “hostess” was officially up to her eyeballs in other duties!

That freed up some wall space where the entry table had been!  I love it when that happens!

I have always had a THING for old survey sticks!  I’ve never had a good place to display them….until now!  I had two and I took them apart.  Then I added in my not-the-size-it’s-suppose-to-be slide ruler which has been sitting in a closet for years!

The husband even commented….sorta….he said he likes the open space there now….no surprise he didn’t have much to say about the ~ART~! 

It’s tough living with the uneducated! *sigh*

Okey-dokey….I will be seeing you at The Big Red Barn Show on June 26 & 27…..right?  I’ll be there helping my friend, Tricia.  I can hardly wait!  Speaking of….check out this post….I cried!

And you know, well in case you don’t, that cutie-patootie Theresa will be setting up too!  Between these two girlies I will be doing some serious Ironstone drooling!

Oh yeah, and that cute guurrrl Mindy is having a dress-up day at Primitiques this Saturday!  I can’t make it, but I would sure love it if you went and took a bunch a pictures so I can see everything I missed!
