My space in Antique Queens continued…my favorite part about these pictures is that my sis used a doll bed to surround this sweet feather tree!  Then she added REDs and whites and blacks and creams…a little twist on tradition…

for the base of the tree, she used a round battery jar filled with fringe…i can hardly stand how cute it is!

I found this in the fields in Warrenton last Fall.  I thought it was too cute to pass up!

My sis…in all her decorating brilliance…dangled it from a bird cage stand and surrounded it with SweetTalk tags! 

darling!  I can say that since I didn’t do it…although I’d probably say it even if I did do it!

i loved these game pieces the minute i saw them!  they’ve been sitting on my work table for months waiting for a stroke of brilliance!

well…i punched a hole in the corner…added some of my favorite *sweetpea* SweetTalk ribbon and…presto…they became ornaments! 

i don’t think they’re even in the neighborhood of brilliant…but they are darn cute!

my sis was working-like-a-dog in my space when the mother and i left to grab some to-go lunch…i couldn’t afford to let her blood sugar drop…there was still too much to do! 

when we got back, i just about dropped the burger bags when i saw what she’d done!  instead of using these *ornaments* on one of the trees, she strung a garland across the top of a cabinet!

Have you ever had a friend ask you to help clean out a closet?  I’ve helped friends do this over the years.  Personally, I think it’s fun!  But give me a day to clean out my own closet and I’d more likely choose elective foot surgery!

For those of you in this crazy business do you sometimes think you can’t possibly wrap, pack, load, unload, wrap, pack, load and haul this JUNK one more time?  So how happy do you think I was when my big sis volunteered to *clean out my closet* i.e.  turn over my space at Antique Queens?  OMG!  Not only that, but she actually got excited about putting the Christmas tree together!  OMG x 10!

We have a philosophy in our family if you’re feeling iffy: you can either sit around the house and feel iffy or you can go do something fun and feel iffy!  So…call us crazy…but 4 days after surgery we loaded the mother and a comfy chair in the car and headed for Rockdale!

While the mother sat, I stood on one foot and then the other while we watched Mo completely turnover my space and decorate it for Christmas!  OH JOY!

I can’t wait to show you everything but first up, the PINK Christmas tree…starting at the top…where a sweet doll is playing angel…

a santa mug…a frame…paper doll clothes and lots of SweetTalk…

a silver dye roller…a paris vase…a hand mirror…

a sewing basket and a trophy…

more SweetTalk and a vintage ice cream box…

a glittery santa boot…

a tiny settee with a big pink bow…

a gold dutch boy and his girl…

it all adds up to a precious PINK Christmas tree!

I did not lift a finger!  My big sis did it all!  She always ROCKS and on this particular day she also ROCKED IT!

Jana hung a mattress spring between her space and Mo’s so we covered it with SweetTalk tags, stencils, numbers and topped it off with yet another of Mo’s crafts…a paper wreath!

What an amazing week!  Old friends, new friends, a new experience at Marburger Farm…which I will now officially call “home”…and life changing moments!

I feel like a visitor on my own blog!  Just stopping in long enough to let you know that I’m home…a few bruises and scrapes…but unloaded and on to the next thing!

Company arrives tomorrow morning, but next week a full-blown collapse is inked-in on my calendar!

I’ll show you a few pictures of my space in the farm house…with many more to come!

Which I seem to mostly have between midnight and 3am!  In the midst of it ALL I decided to take on a small home improvement project…that word pops up a lot in my world!  Not sayin’ that’s a good thing…if you know my history…

Three days after I return from Marburger Farm company is coming!  Always fun, but now the unaccomplished goals from Summer are haunting me!

So, I scheduled the removal of the carpet in the guest room and hardwoods are going down…tomorrow!  It would probably be an excellent time for you to start worrying about me!

the room is down to the bones…i need to take apart the bed and get it out of there…

a pile of furniture now taking up precious space in the tee-vee room…

i have a big closet in that room that houses all the Christmas-Crap…which is now stacked in the bathroom, dining room, study…etcetcetc…i’ll spare you those pics!

the mattress and box springs now living between the couch and breakfast table…

I’ve got my eye on the prize and my mind on a little redecorating!  See ya when the dust cloud clears!

BURIED - IN – JUNK!

After getting home from the big *adventure* it took me a few days to recover!  Coming down from a shopping-high is far worse than coming down from a sugar-high!  phew!

Once I got my feet under me…I dove in!  Here are a few pictures of the abyss…ahem, the dining room!  I have a workroom upstairs, but I couldn’t fit all this JUNK any one place!

Game #5 was a little tricky!  I said “NO” to all of it!

It’s a stumper…but…the doll hutch (as much as I wanted it) was literally the first stop!  Hard to pull the trigger on a hundred-spot right out of the gate! 

Y’all didn’t think I was serious about that barrel bar, didya?  That’s even a little crazy for me and I’m pretty darn crazy!  I think Debbie got it right…if I had been shopping for my brother it would have been a YES!  And I loved the point Sherry made…it would have been a space eater in Mighty, she knows me too well!

The band hats…man…I struggled!  But that’s the kinda thing I totally heart and no one on this earth would ever buy from me!

The shabby stool…what was not to love?   But there was no room in it to make a few dollars!

The elf…another struggle, but kinda the same as the band hats, so I passed on him too!

Since no one got it totally right…and since I’m in charge of the RULES…for everyone that said *NO* on the barrel bar you get THREE, everyone else gets one!

I’d like to say a gigantic THANKS to everyone for playing!  Tricia and I sat up til the wee hours most every night to get our posts up!  We giggled lots and wondered who would stop by and what your guesses would be!

It has meant the WORLD to us!
